Weekly Blog 2/27 - Rocks: Surprise: I was surprised when I was looking at the conditions that would change a rock type to another type. I was surprised because I was most familiar with the following conditions for the rock types: Heat, Pressure, Weathering, Erosion, Melting, and Cooling. Also, I didn't know what other conditions there were such as, Compacting and Cementing. This surprise has taught me to do research on things that I never knew before or things that I am interested in. Summary: What I learned about this week was the rock cycle, rock types, and how rocks form. I also learned about minerals, where and how they're form ed.  Backward - Looking: I knew a lot about the topic before we learned about it in class. What I now know is that rocks have lots of conditions for changing types such as, heat, pressure, weathering, erosion, melting, cooling, compacting and cementing.                       Weekly Blog 02/06: Surprise: I was sitting at my usual table when I was surprised. The surprise was the Matter Matters: matter background research, plasmas: flames. The reason why it was surprising was because I didn't know that flames were plasmas. Summary: I learned that flames were plasmas. I also learned that elements are made up of lots of different atoms and molecules are made up of two or more atoms that are the same. Elements are things such as Sulfur , or Nitrogen .  Backward - Looking: I knew a little bit about matter - such as matter came in three forms like Solids, Liquids, and Gases. I didn't know that there was another form - Plasmas. I also didn't know that plasmas consisted of Flames, Glowing Nebula, The Sun, Lightning, etc. Inward - Looking: I feel that my work was satisfactory. I think that because I think that I worked hard, tried my best to do it right, and because I turned in my assignment on time. I like how I did because
