Map of the Volga River Summary: During this week, I was put into groups for a river challenge project! Our river is the Volga River, located somewhere  in Russia, which joins the Caspian Sea.     I also learned that one of the bloodiest battles of World War II was fought on the banks of the Volga River.     Another thing I learned is that the Volga River has ten dams! SP2: Our form of a documentary is a video! (We may put this on YouTube, but it depends!!!) Citation:  The Volga River Map

WAC - Should China Build More Hydroelectric Dams?

I believe that China should not build any more hydroelectric dams, because (1), It's bad for the environment, (2), Many people are relocated from their significant home town,&(3), Farmers rely on the natural flooding of the rivers!        Nature has reasons for flooding. It also has reasons why we even exist. We shouldn't be messing around with the flooding; it could be extremely important to the animals who live there! What about the fish, who rely on the water to survive? What about the animals who rely on the fish, who rely on the water? Fish are not the only animals that need water. Not only that, but they have been working there for most of their life. If someone wanted to build a dam, didn't even give me enough money to move, then I would see why building a dam is so horrible (whi

Summary:  During this week, I learned more about rivers. We also did some cool experiments on them! SP8: The experiment that my team did involved the diatomaceous earth. We used blue water to mark our river, and we also put an ice cube on it, to symbolize a glacier!     Another thing about the experiment was that we used a 'toxic waste', and a plastic cover. The cover was used as a dam.  Citation:  Diatomaceous Earth
