Grey Bay Area Suspect

Grey Bay Area
Wanted: Sandy Trapp For Questioning

Did you know fish are dying? If you did now that, do you know why...?
Fish are dying, because of chlorine, gas, and oxygen loss. Sandy Trapp is the prime suspect, because, when we did the phosphate test, guess which place had the most phosphates? Sandy Trapp’s golf course! Sandy Trapp must have been killing the fish because her golf course has the most phosphates which could cause an algal bloom. Fish live on dissolved oxygen, but if there isn't enough oxygen to dissolve, then...?

I think that Sandy Trapp is killing all the fish because when my team and I did a phosphate test, we saw that the golf course had the most phosphates, which meant that the golf course had high phosphate levels.

First off, when my team and I did a phosphate test: There was a change in color with the water from the golf course; there were too many phosphates.

Second, the sarcasm in her voice! Sarcasm in her interview could have signaled that she was nervous, yet, she was trying NOT to sound nervous by sounded sarcastic! In her interview, she says, “Oh wow! Kid with chemistry set catches evil golf course in mass fish murder. That's the craziest thing I've ever heard in my life! The golf course is on the other side of the hill, and our water doesn't even drain into the pond!

Third, Bo Vyne says, “And hey, if phosphates come from fertilizer, why not look at the golf course-they put fertilizer on their pretty little putting greens, and they're always watering their lawns.” Reread what she says. The last part, ‘and they’re always watering their lawns’ could mean that when they water the lawns, some of the fertilizer that wasn't held down by the roots of the plants, could be washed out to James Pond, which could have killed the fish. That, or, when they water the lawns, like my previous theory, the fertilizer that wasn't held down by roots of the grass, could have gone into the sewer where in a heavy rainfall, they could be washed out to sea!

Also, the golf course takes away oxygen with phosphates. Too many phosphates can create an algal bloom. An algal bloom is when a rapid growth of microscopic algae, or, *cyanobacteria in the water.

*cyanobacteria is a type of blue-green algae.

A phosphate test showed that there were too many phosphates in the golf course. They use fertilizer, and phosphates can be found in fertilizer. Like I said before, many phosphates can create an algal bloom. Fish live on dissolved oxygen. But they could suffocate if they don't have enough dissolved oxygen to begin with.

Sandy Trapp must have killed the fish, because, the phosphate test showed that the golf course had high phosphate levels. She also uses sarcasm, and, fertilizer, which could be washed out to James Pond or Parallel Park, or Grey Bay.

Sandy Trapp is guilty! She has killed the fish! The golf course should be closed permanently!
