Weekly Blog 01/26: Surprise:   I was looking at the crystals when I was surprised. The surprise was the crystals. I was surprised because I thought the unknown would be MSG, but instead it was salt. I learned that sometimes you need to look deeper into an experiment and that you should never judge something by looks. Summary: This week we discussed the Unknown Crystal. I learned that unknown crystal was salt because salt was the only crystal that looked like unknown. Backward-Looking: The resource[s] I used this week was the magnifying glass, the sheet with labels on it, and the Popsicle sticks. I would use all my resources for another experiment, because they helped me measure the amount of crystals, what kind of crystals they were, and what they looked like. Some of them I never seen before, like MSG and Epsom salt. Inward-Looking: My work satisfied me because I had my resources, my notes, and I was trying my best to get the answers right. It satisfied me because I tried my

Weekly Blog: Surprise : I was thought that the M&M in the cold water would dissolve faster but instead it was the M&M in hot water and it was surprising because the M&M in hot water dissolved first and the temperature from the water was making the M&M dissolve faster. Summary: This week our team worked on M&M's in different temperatures. The temperatures were - Hot, Cold, and Room Temperature. The M&M that was in the plate with Hot water dissolved first, then Room temperature, and then Cold water.  Backward - Looking: The resources I used were a tub, a plate with drawn circles inside it, a cup, and M&Ms. They were helpful because it helped me understand how M&Ms would react in different temperatures. I would use them again because they helped me learn lots of things that I didn't know about.  Inward - Looking: I feel pleased with my work because I have learned a lot about dissolving sugar. I like it because I think that I understood how

Experiments: Surprise : In science we did an M&M experiment called Racing M&Ms I thought the orange M&M was going to dissolve faster but instead the yellow M&M dissolved first. Summary: I learned that the Yellow M&M would dissolve faster because light reflects off of it . I also learned that sometimes nobody gets the same results. Backward-Looking: The resource[s] I used this week was the computer and the internet. My resources were extremely helpful because most of the situations I didn't know what they did or how to prevent them, etc. I would use them again because they helped me do a science project that needed lots of information about those weather conditions.   Inward-Looking:  My work satisfied me because I had my resources, my notes, and I was trying my best to get the answers right. It satisfied me because I tried my best.   Outward-Looking: My work was similar to others. It was similar because I had my as
