Adv Science

                      Organelle Trail I really didn't know much about the organelle since I never learned what it was in the 4th grade. What I didn't know before and I know now is that the cell membrane is covered in proteins. I also know that in plant cells, the cell membrane is inside the cell wall.I learned that the cell membrane is found in both animal cells and plant cells.The cell membrane only lets in somethings such as nutrients.When they are being passive or active they are moving around as they please(passive) and then active - they use their energy to let somethings in. The cell membrane works with the cell wall. The cell membrane is like a clear force field or like clear jelly coating the inside of the cell, protecting it from the harmful outside. 

                      The Cell                                             In Science I didn't know much about our next unit Cells. I didn't get why we were studying one of the most important organisms in our body. I wasn't very interested with the unit in the beginning. I didn't know anything about the cells except for that there were thousands of them in your body. I  also didn't realize that a cell has jobs and functions. But now I know that the cell's job is to make up important parts of your body and that they are building blocks of life. A cell's purpose is much more important than acting as small organizational pieces. When alone, a cell's purpose is to stay alive.                      The End

I learned that there are different kinds of variables. I am confident that I know what an inference is. I wish that Ms. Garcia would give us more quizzes.

Science classes should not disappear. Science crosses all subjects. We use science in every subject. Science can get us very far in life if we use it daily. Science provides general tech skills, without it we probably would not know how a computer works. Science can be used to create many things. We can use science to observe and learn how things work. When we experiment using scientific principles we can learn to live in harmony. Science helps us ask questions. Science helps us make decisions. We need science for more discovering-not everything has been discovered. The Board said that science is ' mumbo jumbo' , everything has been discovered, and that we could just read facts from text books and we should memorize the facts.Science is all around us. We use science when my mother cooks a dish., when I take a shower, by my brother uses an electric toothbrush, and my dad uses science when he drives us to school in the morning. And that is why we need science because

                           3 things  I Like About Adventure                                              3 things I like about Adventure are they keep the bathrooms clean.They also let us use computers.Last the teachers are really nice and give us help when we need help.I learned that science gives us the truth and it's important to us. I like science.
