09/19 The Cell

                      The Cell                                             In Science I didn't know much about our next unit Cells. I didn't get why we were studying one of the most important organisms in our body. I wasn't very interested with the unit in the beginning. I didn't know anything about the cells except for that there were thousands of them in your body. I  also didn't realize that a cell has jobs and functions. But now I know that the cell's job is to make up important parts of your body and that they are building blocks of life. A cell's purpose is much more important than acting as small organizational pieces. When alone, a cell's purpose is to stay alive.

The function of the renal system is the eradication of wastes manufactured by homeostasis (this word comes from two combined words in Greek: "homeo" meaning similar, & "stasis" meaning stable). 10/24 Interdependence of Organisms

              Interdependence of Organisms The interdependence of organisms is when organisms depend on each other for food to survive. Their whole reason to survival is so that they can live long enough to reproduce.  Backward Looking - Reflection: If an animal disappears from the rainforest then the animal who depends on this dying species for it's survival will also die due to lack of food. And so on and so on. Also it will affect the animal/plant that it does eat, meaning if the humming bird disappears from the rainforest or other biomes it will affect flowers or other plants, meaning they will over populate or under populate and that biome/rainforest will not have a healthy balances of plants and animals.
