Letter to the School Board

Science classes should not disappear.

Science crosses all subjects. We use science in every subject.
Science can get us very far in life if we use it daily.

Science provides general tech skills, without it we probably would not know how a computer works.
Science can be used to create many things. We can use science to observe and learn how things work. When we experiment using scientific principles we can learn to live in harmony.

Science helps us ask questions. Science helps us make decisions. We need science for more discovering-not everything has been discovered.

The Board said that science is ' mumbo jumbo' , everything has been discovered, and that we could just read facts from text books and we should memorize the facts.Science is all around us. We use science when my mother cooks a dish., when I take a shower, by my brother uses an electric toothbrush, and my dad uses science when he drives us to school in the morning.

And that is why we need science because science is all around us.

10/24 Interdependence of Organisms

              Interdependence of Organisms The interdependence of organisms is when organisms depend on each other for food to survive. Their whole reason to survival is so that they can live long enough to reproduce.  Backward Looking - Reflection: If an animal disappears from the rainforest then the animal who depends on this dying species for it's survival will also die due to lack of food. And so on and so on. Also it will affect the animal/plant that it does eat, meaning if the humming bird disappears from the rainforest or other biomes it will affect flowers or other plants, meaning they will over populate or under populate and that biome/rainforest will not have a healthy balances of plants and animals.
