Letter to Mr.Cuttatree

Dear Mr. Cuttatree,

I heard that you were going to cut down the trees of the rainforest to build your Uppitty Resort. Building your resort from the trees of the rainforest will cause these effects: lack of oxygen, mudslides, and loss of natural medicine from animals; anti-venom. This is bad for the all the animals such as the blue moth. This also bad for the environment because the animals that eat the blue moth will die out because they do not have the food they need to reproduce. The top predators that eat the animal will die out because they do not have the food they need to reproduce. Here are my three main reasons:

Main Reason #1: Cutting down the trees of the rainforest will cause the lack of oxygen. In our class, we did some photosynthesis activities and research and found that their waste gas is oxygen. If you cut down the trees we will suffer loss of most of our oxygen. Without oxygen Earth will become the suffocating place it once was. All the whales, dolphins and manatees will disappear from the ocean because they breath air. All the animals that live on land will die out. Reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals. This is one of the reasons why you shouldn't cut down the trees of the rainforest.

Main Reason #2: If you build your Uppitty resort you could cause mudslides. Mudslides are sometimes caused by deforestation. The trees' roots hold soil in place. If a large amount of soil is removed by rain because of deforestation, it will become wet, turn into mud and start rolling down to houses or whatnot. Soil erosion could happen and that would make it very hard for trees to grow. This is my second reason why you shouldn't cut down the trees of the rainforest.

Main Reason #3: Construction will cause the extinction of most of the world's snakes. Snakes provide us anti-venom. Without snakes we will not have a large supply of anti-venom and it would have to be used wisely. Snakes also help keep the rainforest in a healthy balance of animals and plants. Without the animals of the rainforest.
