Weekly Blog Post - "Natural Selection" (10|16|17-10|22|17)

Summary: During this week, I completed the Natural Selection Guided Notes. I learned that Charles Darwin discovered natural selection through his journey to South America to study finches. I also learned that natural selection happens very randomly and that only the organisms with the most beneficial traits will survive.

 SP1: Asking questions and defining problems. I asked scientific questions when we were completing our Natural Selection Guided Notes such as, "How could mutations create information in living beings?" and "Do mutations that provide resistance to diseases, poisons, etc. prove evolution?"

The function of the renal system is the eradication of wastes manufactured by homeostasis (this word comes from two combined words in Greek: "homeo" meaning similar, & "stasis" meaning stable). 10/24 Interdependence of Organisms

              Interdependence of Organisms The interdependence of organisms is when organisms depend on each other for food to survive. Their whole reason to survival is so that they can live long enough to reproduce.  Backward Looking - Reflection: If an animal disappears from the rainforest then the animal who depends on this dying species for it's survival will also die due to lack of food. And so on and so on. Also it will affect the animal/plant that it does eat, meaning if the humming bird disappears from the rainforest or other biomes it will affect flowers or other plants, meaning they will over populate or under populate and that biome/rainforest will not have a healthy balances of plants and animals.
