Respiratory System

                           Respiratory System

Function:Your respiratory system

collects and sends oxygen to your body.It also helps you breathe in oxygen rich air breathing out carbon dioxide - a waste gas.

Organs:Trachea, Bronchi, Lungs, and Diaphragm.

What other system: Circulatory system. It works by supplying  oxygen in the lungs to be carried throughout tissues.

  • Fun Facts:

    •  The lungs are the main part of the respiratory system.

      • Red blood cells pick up oxygen and carry oxygen to all your other cells in your body.

        • The goal of breathing is to deliver oxygen to your body and take away carbon dioxide.

          • The red blood cells take carbon dioxide to your lungs and you breathe it out when you exhale.

            • The left lung is slightly smaller than the right lung in order to fit your heart.
